LARKWORTHY FARM
We try to keep to organic principles
on our smallholding. We sometimes have surplus produce to sell and we usually have our own eggs for sale.
The area
is rich in wildlife. Buzzards are common and our fields provide hunting grounds for a family of barn owls. Deer, foxes and badgers also abound. Otter numbers are increasing steadily since the days Henry Williamson wrote Tarka the Otter, set in this area.
We are trying to establish
traditional varieties of dessert and cider apples in our orchard, particularly Devon and Cornish varieties. We also have plums, pears, medlars and quinces.
